44 & 44 to finish off the first half. Could have been more like Tampa if you ask me. Start off the second half against the Sox so looking forward to seeing if the break can help us gather ourselves and start off on the right foot.

One can only hope. The rotation has been awful but I like that this team is really starting to hit

who would have guessed that Beltran and Gregorious would be swinging such hot bats this year

Cashman did what he had to do and that's trade away key pieces for young talent.

I think he did the right thing. He picked up a lot of intriguing prospects in these trades

I am looking forward to seeing Aaron Judge making his major league debut and seeing what Severino can do in the rotation

I'm hoping they can move Brian McCann to the Braves or Indians in the off season and that he'll waive his no trade clause so we can see more of Gary Sanchez

Its about fucking time. Ive been critical of our farm system for years now. People called me an idiot and retarded. Its about time. This is how you build a team for the future and understanding this team cant compete and win now.

YES

Sadly, there is a breed of yankee fan not like you and I who think you can just buy championships and that is just not how it works in baseball. Even on the bigger market teams, you can always find home grown talent out of their own farm system on their better teams. This true of the Orioles, Red Sox, Tigers, Dodgers and Giants

About fucking time is exactly right. Admit your roster is aging/not fun to watch. I feel like Hal Steinbrenner only agreed to this because the attendance numbers were lousy this year and that seems to be literally the only thing that gets the front office's attention.

I loved that they got a whole bunch of young exciting prospects before the trade deadline. I feel like we may actually be competitive again by maybe opening day of the 2018 season when we don't have to pay Chase Headley, Brian McCann and A-Rod anymore

Ya you hit the nail right on the head. There are a lot of dumb fans out there and they give us a bad name. It really sucks.
The same can be said with every fan base though. Ya Boston has its annoying fans, but I do know some that know their sports and will have a good sports talk with you.

Swept by the Red Sox. 4 games series with the season on the line. Needed to win 3. We won none. Just fucking Awesome.

I dont think Boston is that good. There are teams that are better than them. Its not like we got swept by an unstoppable force. This is embarrassing.

That was a lot of very disappointing losses. Games that they let slip away in the later innings

Sure, it is hard to beat an offensively potent Red Sox team in Fenway in September but if you want to prove you are a playoff caliber team, you have to at least break even in a series, not get swept. Red Sox starting rotation outside of Porcello and Price is pretty bad and they got to see Buckholz, Pomeranz and Rodriguez

but how about Gary Sanchez? God I love that guy. 16 home runs in 41 games. I can't wait to see him as yankees starting catcher for a full season. I also liked the pick up Billy Butler as an extra right handed bat in the line up but for the love of God, never put him at first base. He looks terrible there. You're way better off with Austin Romine or Tyler Austin

I think Betances needs a rest. He looks gassed. They used him too much early on for him to be an effective closer. I think he'll have a much better year next year but I do like Clippard a lot as a closer for next year. I know some people want to see Aroldis Chapman back in pinstripes but he'd be expensive and they have more pressing needs in the off season

I've always liked Clippard. I have had an eye on him in fantasy for years and always been consistent. Was happy to see his arrival this year. Needed this win tonight =/

Tex swinging a real big bat as he takes his final at bats. I will definitely miss the all around player he was when he was younger and what he did for the Yanks during his career
